Never ones to leave a stone unturned in the market – BMW have come up with this new ‘Sports Activity Coupe’ that is something like a jacked up version of a 3 series, or perhaps a jacked down version of the X3. It’s also a coupe, so it’s the type of car you choose if you want the best of all worlds. Unusual looks aside, it’s a cracking car to drive. Its low centre of gravity gives it plenty grip around corners, yet it still retains that desirable high seating position of an SUV. There’s a good range of economical diesel engines available and the interior provides all the comfort you would expect from a BMW. It may be a niche car for a niche market, however if you are looking for something different to stand out from the crowd in, we can’t think of better place to do it than in an X4.
