Toyota Verso S (10 - present)
This is one of those out-and-out practical cars. For example, it comes with seven seats, which immediately gives it the edge over some of its rivals. Each one can fold flat to increase the loading space. The interior has plenty of room, and there is a big boot for added practicality. It is also well kitted out and there’s a good amount of safety gear on board. Behind the wheel, the Verso is typically Toyota, reliable and predictable in terms of handling and steering. There’s a small bit of body roll on corners, but the responsive, sharp steering, and the smooth ride quality make it really comfortable for long journeys. There are some efficient and economical engines in the range, in terms of CO2 emissions and fuel economy. These are reliable machines and don’t cost a lot to keep on the road. Which is why the Verso S is one of the most practical family cars around.
