BMW Z4 Roadster (09 - present)
Since its release back in 2003, the Z4 has changed quite a bit. It has grown in size and improved in style as BMW aim to increase its appeal, although performance remains the top priority. The metal folding roof is one of the best new additions to the Z4. It looks much better than the soft-top and works better in terms of keeping the heat in during the colder seasons. Another huge plus for the Z4 is the fact that it’s actually cheaper to buy and run than some of its rivals. The interior of the car is fantastically built. Everything inside looks and feels very high-end. There is more passenger space than before, the boot is bigger and the hood can retract in about 10 seconds. In terms of driving, the Z4 makes for a fun ride. The powerful engines and smallish dimensions of the car ensure exciting performance.
Look out for

• Even more practical than its predecessor
• The all new solid top is much better than the soft top
• Good range of powerful and surprisingly economical engines
• It’s a fantastic looking car both inside and out
• Not the most expensive roadster on the market
