Volkswagen Polo (14 - Present)
The Volkswagen Polo has long been the cream of the crop when it comes to small cars – it does everything a small car should do, and does it very well. As well as a minor facelift, it’s been future-proofed with a new range of engines that already meet the emission limits set by new Euro 6 standards being introduced in 2015, the interior has gotten a refresh and it’s been given a whole load of new techy features. It offers a remarkably quiet driving experience, that’s smooth and cosseting for your passengers and can hold its own on the motorway without the faintest sign of protest.
