BMW X1 (15 - present)
Minus the slightly awkward looks, the original X1 had a lot going for it. The small dimensions made it easy to drive and offered all the comfort and prestige of a BMW SUV in a compact, easy to live with package. The latest version has been given something of a make under with much safer styling than before, mirroring the larger X3 and X5. This combined with more space, a more efficient engine line-up and more features moved from the option list into standard equipment means the new X1 should appeal to a wider market than ever before.
