Volkswagen Sharan (10 - 13)
There aren’t many MPVs out there that can carry seven adults quite like the Volkswagen Sharan. The majority of cars in this class have back seats which are really only suitable for children. Not only does it have an abundance of passenger space but there is also an impressively big boot for luggage etc. The cabin is also comfortable and is made for long distance driving. There is a versatile seating system; each seat is individual, can slide backwards and forwards to allow for easier access to the rear-most. You also have the option of folding down the two back rows which gives it enough space to compete with most vans. The Sharan’s styling is conservative but it looks good on the inside; good dash and centre console. There is a lot of spec and safety features too so you are getting good value for money. Like the models before it, the handling is good, the steering is sharp and ride smooth. In terms of engines, there are some frugal and efficient ones to choose from.
