2013 TOYOTA COROLLA TERRA 1.3 PETROL

We Irish have had a long running love affair with Toyota – especially the Corolla. Globally, it's a well received car but to date Toyota have shifted upwards of 200,000 cars here on our island alone. It even out-sells the very popular Auris at a whopping 5-1, which, by all accounts is a really impressive stat. It's a sensible choice of car for most types of drivers because of its practicality, cheap running costs, and the price tag is not over-zealous – something that not all cars in this class can say. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it's a pretty good looking car either! In comparison to the previous model, passenger space has been increased, which means even higher levels of comfort. Driving position and all-round visibility are really good too. When it comes driving a Toyota, we've come to expect certain things from these cars. Things like, a smooth ride, light steering and good handling. This generation of the Corolla certainly maintains if not improves on these qualities. It may not be the sportiest or quickest of cars to drive but it's still really good fun and it genuinely feels at home both in country and city conditions. In 2010 the Corolla underwent a facelift, giving it a much sleeker, more upmarket appearance. This has really boosted its appeal especially to younger drivers.
