BMW 5-Series Touring (10 - present)
This has superb build quality and drives really well as well as having some outstanding engines. The petrol engines include: the 523i, 528i and the 535i, while the diesels embrace: the 520d, 525d and the 535d which comes with the brand new eight-speed automatic as standard. Each has good fuel economy and low emissions, particularly the entry level 520d which delivers 54mpg and has CO2 emissions of 135g/km. The ride quality is smooth and the handling is really good thanks to the chassis. The cabin is large and comfortable with the dash designed to cater for the driver: all instruments and switches are easily visible and within reach. There’s great storage space in the boot.
