Volkswagen CC (12 - present)
This is a variation of the Passat, although that name has now been dropped and it is just CC. They made a great job of it - no doubt it is an excellent buy. It looks well but has plenty of practicality to go with it – there are acres of space inside while there’s lots of room in the boot. There is seating for five in the cabin with plenty of leg/head room. The CC was meant to be a sportier version of the Passat, and for the most part, it is. The crescent shape and sloping roof give it a real road presence. The cabin has real class and the handling and ride make it one of the best cars in its segment. There’s plenty of standard equipment and the inside shows they paid attention to detail. This is an all-round excellent car – classy and with great poise and suppleness on the road.
